Authority of Scripture
The Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God, serving as the ultimate authority for faith and practice.
The church emphasizes the importance of expository preaching, where scripture is taught in its intended context, allowing members to understand and apply biblical truths.
The Trinity
Middletown Road Baptist Church believes in the Trinity, which means that there is one God who exists in three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. Each person is fully God and plays a unique role in the salvation of humanity.
Salvation Through Christ
The church believes that salvation is a gift from God, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It teaches that Jesus’ death and resurrection provide the only means for reconciliation with God, offering forgiveness for sins and eternal life to those who repent and believe.
The Great Commission:
Middletown Road Baptist Church is committed to fulfilling the Great Commission, which involves sharing the gospel with others and making disciples of all nations. The church actively engages in evangelism and outreach, both locally and globally.
What We Believe
Middletown Road Baptist Church (MRBC) is a Bible-Believing, independent Baptist Church.Â
We come together to worship God and to receive:
Instruction in His Word, to Fellowship with other Believers, and to Evangelize (tell the unsaved about the Glory of Christ).Â
(1 Corinthians 10:31) “Therefore whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”Â
MRBC believes that all Scripture is God breathed.  We also believe that God’s Word is sufficient to guide His church in all areas of life and practice  Especially, through all of the trials; tribulations; and joys this life has to offer.Â
(2 Tim 3:16-17 ) “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness ,that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” Â
Middletown Road Baptist Church seeks to be God centered. Our desire is that everything would be focused on God and His glory. As we come together to worship, our aim is to behold His glory. As we behold the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ, we are transformed into His image.Â
(2 Cor 3:18) “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”Â
As the body of Christ, we are called to come together in love. We are also called to edify and build one another up for the work of the ministry in which Christ has called us to. Our church has opportunities for everyone to exercise their spiritual gifts and grow in Christ. We believe that every child of God has been given a gift for the building up of the local church.
(Eph 4:16) “from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.”Â
MRBC is also committed to the expository preaching of the Word of God. We believe that God meets with His people, ministering to them grace and transformation through preaching. Â Â
(1 The1:5) “For our gospel did not come to you and word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance, as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake.”Â
